Tired of Odesk and Freelancer? Try Elance.com

I’ve been using Elance.com for work for almost a month now. So far, it’s easier than Odesk.com and Freelancer.com (which has become really bad lately)

They have jobs under different categories like:

  • Web & Programming
  • Design & Multimedia
  • Writing & Translation
  • Sales & Marketing
  • Admin Support
  • Finance & Management
  • Engineering & Manufacturing
  • Legal

As a contractor, you can choose between Fixed price jobs or Hourly Jobs.

For hourly jobs, you would need to install Work View™ , which is provided by Elance. It takes screenshots of your computer so the client can pay for the exact hours you worked on.

There are four different Elance membership plans, three of them are paid. The very basic one is free so you can go ahead and sign up for it, give Elance a try.

For further information, here’s Elance’s Membership plan chart:

  1. I agree on all accounts that eLance is way easier to understand and has a user-friendly interface. Freelance.com however has tons of employers as compared with eLance. I’m using the prior website and prefers it though. May I ask, how do you get free connects points?

      1. So I get free connect points if someone signs up? What if my mom wants to sign up using the same IP but with a different e-mail? Is that possible?

  2. Hola, that was a amazing written piece! Lots of tremendous information, I
am pleased that I seen it.

I am going to bookmark your blog! 🙂
